Red Lake Air Terminal Building

Keewatin-Aski provided design and contract administration services for a new Air Terminal Building in Red Lake. The facility will provide for the current needs of air travel in the Municipality as well as open the door for regional economic opportunities.

The scope of work for the new ATB incorporates the following characteristics: efficient luggage handling and processing areas including a covered exterior handling area, flight information kiosk, five airline ticket counters, and First Nation services kiosk. This design also included multiple universal and barrier-free design practices, two retail areas, and offices.

The exterior facade and glazing allows lots of light into the facility, with exposed structural members inside the main facility.
